After the fantastic introduction with issue 1 of Super!, issue #2 kicks off the series proper, delving into our first storyline with plenty of action and hilarity. I gotta say boys, it is quite “chilling.” Too corny? I tried. Super Villain Baron Blizzard makes his first appearance, equipped to the icicle with puns, and yes they are much, much better than mine. Although personally, I think a good “Winter is Coming” reference was missed in all the silliness. Maybe our heroes aren’t much for Game of Thrones. This issue mostly spotlights Furious Fire-Ant and Professor Archer, but again, the guys at Unlikely Heroes Studios really know how to balance their characters, even with the small amount of time given to characters like Blood Death and Silhouette. A massive fight between our heroes and Baron Blizzards henchmen ensues, with Fire-Ant almost saving the day. Almost. Before he can claim all the glory, the heroes and villains are both put in an untimely predicament leaving Cosmopolis’ favorite sponsored superheroes, The People’s Champions, to save the day much to Fire-Ants chagrin. With this embarrassment hanging over the teams’ heads, things don’t seem to get much better when the news crews show...
